The West hosts national GAA Féile for 4,400 young footballers this weekend

THE WEST’S AWAKE for the promotion of under-age football this week, with Connacht GAA hosting the Bus Éireann-sponsored Féile na nOg for U-14s, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 27th, 28th, 29th.
It will be the largest youth festival of Gaelic football since the inception of the Féile competitions in the early 1970s.
The numbers participating are as follows: 64 Connacht U-14 boys’ teams and 28 U-14 Ladies Football clubs will host similar numbers from the other three provinces, along with teams from England, Scotland and the U.S.A.
This is the first year that the competition will be run on a province-wide basis, allowing many more teams to take part.
