Chamber of Commerce seeking new blood for strong voice in town

FRESH ideas and new blood are being sought for the incoming board of Tuam Chamber of Commerce, as the current committee steps aside next week after a busy two-year term.
Outgoing president Ronan Glynn said it was time for a new group of people to take up the reins for the next chapter in Tuam’s commercial development. The chamber’s annual general meeting will be held in the Corralea Court Hotel next Wednesday, May 28 and business people from the area are encouraged to attend.
“We’ve achieved a lot over the past two years or so and we’re eager to see new faces and new ideas brought to the table so that this work can continue to help the town thrive,” said Ronan.
“This year it is more important than ever that we have a strong chamber in place, given Tuam has lost its town council. The business community needs a good strong voice and there is an appetite out there for people to work together for the betterment of the town.
