Three-in-a-row memories will be revived in Moylough

FINAL reminder that in the Golden Jubilee year of Galway footballers’ first victory in the historic All-Ireland SFC Three-in-a-Row (1964-65-66), a special event will take place in the centre of Moylough village this Saturday May 10th, at 12.00 noon.

All are welcome to go along and meet Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh as he unveils a plaque alongside the statue of the late Enda Colleran, the victorious captain of the 1965 and 1966 teams.

The captain of the winning team in 1964 was John Donnellan of Dunmore MacHales.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the start of the glory run, the names of all panel members in those three glorious years of the mid 1960s will appear on the plaque.

It’s all being done on the initiative of the Friends of Enda, Mountbellew-Moylough.
