Young man still in coma after shock assault

By TOM GILMORE 'That has also been such a huge consolation to us and they are people that we would not have known at all. Also all the friends and others that have rallied around us has been such a support to the family,' says his aunt Frances Grogan. She added that Shane and his girlfriend attended the Galway Races on Saturday and as they backed several winners they had a most enjoyable day there. That was only hours before he was rushed to hospital after the incident in Tuam. His sister, Sarah, a student at Wolverhampton University, was contacted and she flew in to be at his bedside in Beaumount Hospital. 'The goodwill of everybody has been such a consolation to us all and we ask people to continue to pray for Shane's full recovery,' concluded Joseph Grogan.
