Gardai traced abusive texter
A WOMAN who became alarmed when she began receiving abusive text messages contacted Tuam Gardai and they were able to trace the sender. She told Gardai that the texts were threatening and abusive and she was unable to sleep because of them. It turned out that the sender was the daughter of her former partner. [private] Lisa Kelly, 2 Curragh Court, Bishop Street, Tuam, fully accepted she was resÂÂponÂÂsible for the texts when Gardai traced them to her. The Court heard that Kelly's father had been in a relationship for 17 years with the victim in this case. The relationship had broken down and Kelly was upset. She is very apologetic for her behaviour and the excuse offered was that she had drink taken when she sent them. Judge Browne imposed a fine of €100. [/private]
