Mountbellewmoylough football club will face the future with confidence

A GLORY DAY for the very impressive winners of the County Minor (A) Football Championship final at Tuam Stadium on Sunday, with Mountbellew-Moylough bridging a wide gap to their last title in the U-18 A grade, in 1968.
This is a splendid, maybe even an exceptionally talented minor team in the famous black and amber colours of a club who last won the County Senior Championship in 1986 and there will be high hopes that these minors will bring Mountbellew-Moylough back to the top in the premier grade, via the U-21 Championship which will be their first target, next year and into 2016 and 2017.
It may not be that simple, of course, it never is; but the key to predicting a bright future for this Mountbellew-Moylough group is the scoreline from their North Board Minor final victory over Corofin last month, 2-14 to 1-5.
