North Galway wheelchair users air problems to Minister

USERS of the Tuam Irish Wheelchair Association Centre presented a list of issues facing them to Minister Sean Canney yesterday (Tuesday).
Some of the main problems centred on access points in Tuam, concerns about the footpaths on the Dublin Road not being up to standard and polling stations at election time not being accessible to wheelchair users.
One particular user of the centre, who was from a rural area, referred to the difficulties of finding parking near the post office in the town, especially when the government are insistent on closing down post offices in the countryside.
