Tuam woman to fore in world anti-LED lighting campaign

A TUAM lady has been the inspiration for an international charity which has been set up to raise awareness of the adverse effects of modern lighting.
Elaine Dennehy was forced to leave her home in Tuam last year as she could no longer tolerate LED street lighting outside her front door.
Light Aware is based in Scotland and Elaine is hoping that by lending her voice to its campaign, changes to the current ban on incandescent bulbs could be the first step in helping those who suffer from symptoms similar to hers.
