Local Food Fest

PUBLIC demand for locally sourced food is on the increase, and Tuam is no exception.

Husband and wife team Stevie and Amanda Lane, who opened Browne's Bar and Restaurant in October, are holding the town's first local food festival in quite a while this Sunday August 20.
Blas@Brownes is a celebration of the local food and drink producers from the West of Ireland – most of them within a radius of 20 miles.
Amanda, whose background is in hotels such as the Westbury in Dublin, and husband Stevie, a chef who has worked in such restaurants as L'Ecrivain and The Pig's Ear in Dublin, are self-confessed foodies who want to share their enthusiasm with others.
