Mulkerrins has a front row seat at BBC Sport

HAVE you ever sat back on your sofa during a massive sporting event watching a broadcaster at work and thought to yourself, perhaps maybe even with a hint of jealousy, ‘that’s something I’d love to do as a job’?
Well Athenry native Sarah Mulkerrins is one of those people you might be green with envy of, given her role working with the BBC involves covering some of the largest sporting occasions on the planet and often getting the chance to sit down and interview some of the world’s biggest stars.
Sarah’s been there at the finish line as Usain Bolt won the 100m gold medal in a time of 9.81 at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. And when Tiger Woods produced an improbable Masters win, a feat described by many pundits as one of the greatest comebacks of all time. There she was on the 18th green keeping viewers and listeners up to date on what was unfolding before her very eyes.
