Frustrated: Galway Manager Kevin Walsh.

Walsh won't be drawn on future

AFTER watching his side lose a championship match against Mayo for the first time since 2015, Galway manager Kevin Walsh cut a deeply frustrated figure when he emerged to face the assembled media three-quarters of an hour after the final whistle. Walsh was sure that a victory could have been achieved on the night had moments and decisions gone another way.
“Look, winning or losing, we have to treat the two imposters the same,” Walsh stated. “It is hard to when you don’t get the result. Missing a penalty, conceding a poor goal, hitting the post and missing one or two frees, I mean that game was there for winning.
“There were a few awful decisions that put us on the back foot."
