Justin Murphy and Ian Marmion celebrate with Ch'tibello.

Local owners win at Cheltenham

Justin Murphy from Tuam and Ian Marmion from Loughrea saw success at the Cheltenham Racing Festival when their horse Ch'tibello won the County Hurdle at odds of 12 to 1.

Another horse with local connections, Presenting Percy, trained by Pat Kelly in Craughwell, disappointed by finishing in eighth place in the Gold Cup. He was found to be lame on his right hind after the race.

Faughneen, bred by the late Dr John Waldron from Tuam, was third in the Sun Racing Stayers' Hurdle.
