Tuam boy’s lockdown marathon raises €25,000 for UHG

A TUAM schoolboy who cycled a marathon while adhering to the 2km restriction limit during Ireland’s first Covid-19 lockdown has donated just under €25,000 to University Hospital Galway.
Dylan Moran is in Third Class in Sylane NS and took on the challenge at the end of April as a way of thanking and supporting the frontline workers at the Galway hospital.
Accompanied by his father Declan, Dylan cycled loops of cycle lanes and rural roads near his home to complete the 42km challenge. Just before Christmas Dylan and his dad presented the funds to the hospital.
