A TUAM woman is appealing to people to donate toys and clothes to local families in the countdown to Christmas, following on from a successful baby bank recycling scheme she has overseen throughout Galway and Mayo.

Jemah Brennan, who lives in Woodfield with her three young children, has supported over 150 families over the past six months who have needed help with baby essentials such as food, nappies and clothing. She is part of a nationwide Baby Bank appeal set up in 2017 that is now asking the public to donate toys and clothes to families for whom Christmas is a particularly difficult time.
