Local Ireland Media award honour for The Tuam Herald

PHOTOGRAPHER with The Tuam Herald Ray Ryan was one of three photographers shortlisted in the Photographer of the Year category in this year’s Local Ireland Media Awards.

This is the second year in a row that Ray’s work has succeeded in being shortlisted in the category. Ray has been the photographer for The Tuam Herald for several decades and has won numerous awards for his work.

Earlier this year, Ray won the prestigious GAA McNamee Award 2020 for Best Photograph.

The shortlisted photo entitled ‘Finding the Right Note’ was taken at The Mall Theatre in Tuam during a performance by members of Tuam Comhaltas.
