A virtual last day at school for retiring teacher Ann

A TUAM teacher with 37 years’ service received a virtual send off on her last day in class at Trinity Primary School this week.

Ann Murphy, who joined the staff of Scoil Mhuire primary school in 1983, was joined by her son based in Dublin and daughter living in Australia on a video link up that also saw children from throughout the three campuses of Trinity Primary School share in the celebrations.

A past pupil of the school, Ann trained in Frobel College in Blackrock, Co Dublin and went on to play a central role in steering Scoil Mhuire through many major developments within the education sector.
