Covid rise puts added pressure on hospitals

THE head of the hospitals group in the West is “deeply concerned” about their ability to cope in the months ahead with the rise in Covid-19 cases in addition to the annual pressure from winter-related illness.
CEO of the Saolta Hospital Group Tony Canavan has appealed for people to redouble their efforts to prevent the spread of the virus and for public representatives to lead by example in taking precautions.
