Call for Tuam park shut down time to curb late night trouble

A FORMER Mayor of Tuam has suggested implementing a closing time for the Palace Grounds in the town in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour there.
Martin Ward, a previous member of Tuam Town Commissioners, made his comments at Monday’s Joint Policing Committee (JPC) meeting. He is asking Tuam District Council to consider introducing a new bye-law that would close off the park to the public from 10pm during winter and from 11pm during the summer months.
