Dog thefts ‘not out of control’ in Galway area

THERE wasn’t a single dog theft reported to stations within the Galway Garda Division during August but there have been plenty of calls about markings left on homes.

Chief Supt Tom Curley says there have been between seven and ten dog thefts reported to garda stations in the county during lockdown and while it is a problem, it isn’t as significant as in other areas.
