Shane is getting back on his feet

FOR the first time in eight years, Shane Grogan is getting back on his feet. The young Tuam man will turn 31 years of age at the end of the month and thanks to a new piece of equipment he is able to stand for the first time since he was victim of a brutal attack during Race Week in 2012.
Shane suffered severe brain injuries in the assault and requires 24-hour care ever since. He has spent most of the time in a chair or bed but thanks to monies donated during fundraisers, new physiotherapy equipment allows Shane to be upright and in a standing position.
