MONIVEA’S own sporting sensation Áine McDermott will be carrying the hopes of both North Galway and her country when she jets to Abu Dhabi this March to represent Ireland in the Special Olympics.
The 25-year-old qualified for the bowling event at the games after winning a gold and silver medal in the sport at an Olympic Ireland games held last June.
