Aldi set sights on Tuam town centre

DISCOUNT supermarket chain Aldi are planning to establish their first store in Tuam on part of the Glynn’s Homevalue site in the town centre.

A planning application for the new retail and car parking development is to be lodged with Galway Co Council next week.
Agreement has been reached, subject to planning, between the supermarket and Glynn’s and will see Aldi acquire a large section of the existing Glynn’s storage yard on Ballygaddy Road.
However, the existing Homevalue Hardware store won’t be affected and will continue to operate as normal.
