Rally to pile on pressure ahead of Greenway vote

INTERNATIONAL support for The Quiet Man Greenway is flooding in ahead of a vote by Galway County Council on whether or not to sanction a feasibility study into the amenity.
The greenway campaign has amassed over 10,000 members in a social media drive in recent weeks as councillors finalise a motion they will put to the chamber on Monday, September 24.
A public rally will be held in Tuam the day before the vote, where up to 2,000 people are expected to gather.
