Brendan's got his song for Fright Night

TONIGHT’S song choices on The X Factor have been revealed and Tuam’s Brendan Murray will come out fighting singing ‘Young Blood’ - the recent hit by 5 Seconds of Summer.

Tonight’s theme for the show is ‘Fright Night’ and Brendan will have some family support in the audience as well as a number of friends who are flying over for the live show.

Brendan has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support he’s received over the past week after he found himself in the bottom three on Sunday night and survived after the vote went to deadlock.

Fans have been posting thousands of good luck messages on the 21-year-old’s social media pages.

Tuam and surrounding areas have also stepped up their support with posters pledging support displayed on shop and business windows throughout the town.

Brendan says he’s “overwhelmed” by the support from his home town.

The X Factor continues tonight (Saturday) on Virgin Media One at 8.35m with the results announced on tomorrow night’s show from 8pm.

People in Ireland cannot use The X Factor App to vote or the UK numbers shown on screen at the end of the show. A special Ireland voting number (premium rate) will be available after tonight’s show when voting opens.

The Tuam Herald Facebook page will share the Ireland voting number as soon as it’s available.
