Fashion glory on the double for creative Tuam students

A GROUP of talented Tuam students are set to design a jersey for the company that supplies Converse and Umbro after securing one of two national fashion awards for their school.

Presentation College came away with two awards at this year’s Junk Kouture competition, held in the 3 Arena in Dublin last week.
Gach Realta, a dress made out of football gloves and other sporting paraphernalia, was awarded the Sports Award out of a total of 86 entries. Digital Download, a dress fashioned from floppy discs, was awarded the Best Techno Wearables Award and was so impressive, celebrity judge Louis Walsh was seen taking pictures on his phone when model Ciara O’Callaghan took to the stage.
