Public talk on helping young people grieve

A FREE public talk in Galway is aiming to provide vital resources to anyone who supports grieving children and young people.

‘Supporting Grieving Children’ will be held at the Dexcom Stadium on Monday, October 12 from 7.30pm to 9pm.

It is hosted by HopeSpace, the dedicated children’s grief support service in Galway.

The charity stresses that children and young people grieve differently than adults, often expressing their feelings through behaviour, changes in mood, or withdrawal.

The session is designed to offer clear, compassionate guidance on recognising how children experience loss, normalising their reactions, and finding practical ways to support them through their grief.
