A VOLUNTEER Recruitment Fair in Galway will bring together 40 charities and community organisations from across the city.

The event organised by the Galway Volunteer Centre will be held at Salthill Hotel on Sunday, October 11 from 2pm to 5pm. Galway Volunteer Centre has been supporting members of the public to find suitable volunteer roles in Galway City and County.

The fair is being held for the first time since February 2024, in an effort to fill the volunteer roles required by the charities.

The event encourages people to find out about the work being done by various charities and how to be a part of it.

“Volunteering can be a great way to learn new skills and make new friends, while also making a contribution to the valuable work that these organisations do,” said Mayor of Galway City, Helen Ogbu.
