Olivia Divilly shortlisted for Player of the Year award
GALWAY and Kilkerrin-Clonberne ladies footballer Olivia Divilly has been nominated for the 2026 TG4 Senior Players’ Player of the Year.
Divilly registered 2-27 in this season’s All-Ireland Championship on her way to helping Galway to a first Brendan Martin Cup triumph in 22 years and scored three points in Galway’s All-Ireland final victory over Kerry in August, playing beside her sisters Siobhán and Niamh.
She is nominated for the Player of the Year award alongside Kerry’s Síofra O’Shea and Aimee Mackin from Armagh.
Divilly was also nominated for the award last year and has won All-Stars in each of the past two seasons. Her Galway and Kilkerrin-Clonberne teammate Nicola Ward was named the 2024 TG4 Senior Players’ Player of the Year.
Divilly and Ward are included among the 14 Galway players who have been nominated for All-Star awards.
Roscommon’s Saoirse Wynne is up for the Intermediate Players’ Player of the Year gong with Anna Jones of Westmeath and Fermanagh’s Eimear Smyth. The three nominees for the Junior award are Maria O’Neill from Antrim and the Carlow duo of Sara Doyle and Róisín Bailey.
The respective Players’ Player of the Year and All-Star award winners will be announced at the TG4 All-Star Awards banquet, which takes place in the Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 14.
