Major upgrade for Tuam leisure facility

TWO major fitness facilities in Tuam and Ballinasloe will see an investment of over half a million for refitting of their gyms.

The investment is a huge show of confidence in the future of Coral Leisure Tuam and Coral Leisure Ballinasloe, the two most used facilities owned by Galway County Council and managed by Coral Leisure.

Director of Services with Galway County Council Michael Owens called it an investment in people, communities and a healthier future for coming generations.

“The upgraded facilities will empower individuals and families to make positive choices every day,” said Mr Owens.

He emphasised that the investment reflects a bold vision for the future, recognising that strong communities are built on healthy, active and connected citizens.

The co-investment by Galway County Council has been appreciated by Coral Leisure Operations Director, David Moore, who said that he looks forward to working even more closely with Galway County Council to develop and grow both facilities.
