Galway accountants firm acquired by HLB Ireland

GALWAY-based OMB Chartered Accountants have been acquired by the national advisory and accountancy firm HLB Ireland.

A part of Mentora Group, the company is looking forward to major growth in the next three years, as it plans to add 150 people to the team alongside the acquisition.

OMB brings approximately 500 clients and established expertise across food manufacturing, construction, medical devices and private clients, including medical professionals.

Its sector expertise was a key factor in the acquisition, adding further depth and scale in areas that are central to Mentora Group’s growth strategy.

As part of its three-year growth plan, the business will add another 150 employees through a combination of direct recruitment, investment in its existing businesses and complementary acquisitions.
