Concert to honour Valerie’s 30 years on local radio

Country music fans are in for a treat on Monday, April 20 when legendary Country music presenter Valerie Hughes will be honoured for her 30 years broadcasting on Galway Bay FM at a star-studded night of music in The Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe.

Performing on the night will be Mike Denver, Michael English, Jimmy Buckley, Claudia Buckley, Susan McCann, and Brendan Shine, all backed by The Conquerors.

It promises to be a night packed with popular Country hits and unforgettable performances.

Valerie has been a familiar and much-loved voice on Galway Bay FM for three decades, bringing the very best of Country music to listeners across the region every week.

To mark this milestone, she will host this spectacular night of live music, along with guest presenters, introducing some of the biggest names on the Irish country scene.

The concert promises an unforgettable evening packed with great music, lively atmosphere and plenty of Country favourites, as fans gather to celebrate Valerie’s incredible contribution to Country music broadcasting.
