Tuam students compete in Texaco art awards

Judging underway

YOUNG artists from Co Galway who submitted entries to this year’s Texaco Children’s Art Competition are currently having their works evaluated as the judging process gets underway.

Pictured is preliminary adjudicator Marie Connole admiring one of the entries received from Galway this year – a work entitled ‘Grandma’s Lipstick’ by a student from High Cross College, in Tuam.

Winners in six age categories plus one category reserved exclusively for young artists with additional needs, will be announced in mid-April.

Now celebrating its 72nd year, the Texaco Children’s Art Competition is the longest-running art sponsorship in Ireland.
