Student high achievers honoured by ATU scholarships
FOUR students from North Galway have been honoured with ATU’s Entrance Scholarship Awards for their achievements in their Leaving Cert exams.
The recipients were among eight Galway students who achieved over 550 and up to 620 CAO points in 2025. They received a €500 bursary and a bespoke trophy by ATU Connemara graduate Eoin Kirwan.
The students from North Galway who received the scholarships included Pierce Casserly from Coláiste Bhaile Chláir, Claregalway, Claudia Howard from High Cross College, Tuam, Rossa Hynes Kelly from Coláiste Bhaile Chláir, Claregalway, and Jason Rabbitte from Presentation College, Athenry. The Entrance Scholarship Awards recognise the academic excellence and commitment of ATU’s newest first year students.
President of ATU Dr Orla Flynn said that the award acknowledges the hard work and dedication of those students who have achieved high points.
“As these students progress in their academic journey, we are committed to support them in every aspect of University life,” she added.
