Plans turned down for multi-million Knockdoe service station

GALWAY County Council has refused planning permission for a proposed multi-million-euro development on the Tuam to Galway Road (N83) largely on grounds relating to road and public safety.

A planning application for the construction of a large two-storey service station with shop, food-court and drive thru take-away on a site in Knockdoe was lodged with Galway County Council by Castlegar Developments Limited.
