Sheep trade is healthy at many marts in the county
SALES of lambs and hoggets remained strong across marts in Co Galway last week.
The annual Sheep Show and Sale attracted a healthy crowd to Tuam Mart last Tuesday, while trade was favourable at marts in Ballinasloe and Loughrea for sheep.
“The hogget trade is great at the moment. High prices were paid for hoggets at the Tuam sale and Loughrea last week,” offered David Kelly, the Galway IFA Sheep Representative.
