Twelve champions crowned after feast of schools action
THE Allianz Cumann na mBunscol season wrapped up last Thursday morning with a dozen hurling finals down for decision from 13-a-side right down to 5-a-side.
Three pitches were on the go simultaneously at the impressive Carnmore GAA Grounds as sizeable crowds took in some outstanding individual and team performances from the national schools across the various grades.
Co-ordinating it all was a Cumann na mBunscol committee made up of Maura Murphy (chairperson & camogie coordinator), Tomás Ó Neachtain (secretary), Damian O'Keeffe (treasurer), Shane O'Connor (boys football coordinator), Hilary Hussey (girls football coordinator) and Brian Mahony (hurling coordinator).
