Language workshop for teachers

THE English Language Support Teachersâ€â„¢ Association (ELSTA) is part of the Teacher Professional Networks (TPN) and was originally established to provide professional peer support to English language support teachers. However, given the reduced resources available in schools to support students for whom English is an Additional Language, we are extending our membership, events and services to all teachers as they strive to meet the pedagogical, linguistic and cultured needs of their students.[private] Membership of ELSTA can greatly assist teachers and schools as they work to implement the Literacy and Numeracy for Learning and Life Strategy, in addition to the School Self Evaluation process. Schools can now avail of annual institutionalised membership for €30 allowing up to three teachers from a school attend ELSTA seminars and/or conferences at the member rate.
