Ecumenical service at Galway hospital

AN ecumenical memorial service for patients who have died while in hospital will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 2.30 pm in the nurses home at University Hospital Galway. The service aims to provide both a spiritual space and an opportunity for families to meet with friends made during the time of their loved one's illness and to share their grief in a supportive and empathetic environment.[private] The hospital staff and chaplains together with Rev Gary Hastings Church of Ireland and Imam Sheik Khalid Sallabi, Galway Islamic Culture Centre, are preparing the service, which will include readings, reflections and music. The service will be followed by light refreshments and time to talk to other families and staff.[/private]
