Mrs Brid Lynch honoured

THEÃ¢€Ë†ONLYÃ¢€Ë†surviving founder member of the Old Tuam Society, Mrs Brid Lynch, Old Road, was honoured at a celebration of the society's 70th anniversary last week. A presentation was made at to her an exhibition of paintings by another founder member, the late Jarlath A O'Connell, in the Town Hall. A lecture on the Tuam Art Exhibitions of the 1940s, which were of national importance, was given on that Thursday evening by Alison Titley.
