Honour for Lackagh family's hero dog Earl
A HERO dog who has transformed the lives of his Lackagh family has been honoured at a national awards ceremony for clever canines.
Earl, who is an autism assistance dog, has been living with the Webb family for just over a year and is proving to be an amazing friend not only to 14-year-old Adam, but also his mother Caroline for whom he has displayed a particularly useful talent.
Caroline has suffered from epileptic seizures for the past nine years and Earl is able to sense the onset of an attack, ushering her to safety and urging her to lie down.
His multiple talents have earned him a commendation in the therapy/guide dog category at this year’s Irish Kennel Club’s Golden Paw Hero Dog Awards.
