Vacant council houses fall from 70 to 25

SOCIAL housing is becoming available much more quickly. This is the good news from Galway Co Council this week.
The turnover of housing stock has dramatically improved following a new approach by the Council that has seen some houses re-let within two months of the previous tenants leaving.

The rolling average of voids – vacant social housing units – has fallen from 70 to 25 in recent months.
