Compromise rules comes to Tuam on Saturday evening

TUAM STARS will host a match with a difference this weekend as the club welcomes a representative selection from Australia’s Victorian Amateur Football Association.
The VAFA is the largest amateur football league in Australia, comprising 73 clubs and over 11,000 players, and their now biennial tour of Ireland will include a match with the club’s senior team on Saturday evening.
“It’s a strong league with six divisions”, explained Tuam Stars manager Alan Flynn. “A lot of their top players have taken a decision that they don’t want to play professionally or are players on the verge of a professional contract.
