Swap those album covers, Mary!

THE old adage says never judge a book by the cover and while both back and front sleeves of the new Top 20 hit album by Mary Duff titled Changing Lanes are good, the back cover is the best and while changing musical lanes perhaps she should also change covers.
This is a more Blues-influenced album with lots of new songs, most of them co-written by new writers except the opening two that were co-written by Country superstar Garth Brooks in association with Kent Maxson. Another of Garth’s former co-writing partners, Kent Blazy, also had a hand in penning the track Happy with another well known Nashville songwriter, Wood Newton.
Changing Lanes is an apt title for Mary’s new album as it moves away from the Country covers of classic songs that she is well known and much respected for doing and into less charted Country-Blues musical waters to “fulfil a dream or two”.
