IKEA opens new store in Galway
IKEA has officially opened the doors of their Plan and Order Point Store in Galway, the largest outside of Dublin.
Located in the Gateway Retail Park in Knocknacarra, the store features a ground-floor mini market hall holding a range of 250 home furnishing accessories and a selection of 25 best-selling furniture lines for immediate takeaway.
Additionally, the store showcases 30 displayed home furnishing solutions for kitchens, wardrobes, living rooms etc.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony last Thursday (August 27) was attended by the CEO of IKEA UK and Ireland, David McCabe as well as Mayor of Galway City Cllr Helen Ogbu and other public representatives.
“Today marks a major moment for retail in the West of Ireland,” said Cllr Ogbu.
“As a city committed to innovation and sustainable growth, we are pleased to welcome IKEA’s investment in Galway and the additional choice it will bring to local customers.”
