Cancer prevention and wellness workshop coming to Galway

THE MARIE Keating Foundation Cancer Prevention and Wellness Workshop Roadshow is coming to Galway.

The free roadshow will take place on Wednesday September 16 at the Clayton Hotel in Galway City from 12-2pm.

The workshop will provide advice on cancer prevention, nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being. It will feature a panel of experts sharing evidence-based advice in an accessible and supportive setting.

The Galway event will include Marie Keating Foundation Assistant Director of Nursing Bernie Carter, Sinead Duignan, Senior Dietitian at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe, Lisa O’Looney, Senior Physiotherapist at Portiuncula Hospital and Hugh O’Neill, Manager of Club Vitae Galway.

The Marie Keating Foundation Mobile Information Unit will also be in attendance from 11am-3pm, manned by a community nurse providing a welcoming, confidential space where attendees can speak privately with a trained nurse, ask questions or seek advice before or after the event.

There will also be a host of wellness providers on site ready to offer advice or share information about their services to the public.
