New leaf blower, strimmer and lawnmower donated in Killererin

THE members of Killererin Community Council have expressed their gratitude to a local businessman for generous donating a number of items that will be used in the upkeep of the locality.

Brian Fahy, of Brian Fahy Carpentry and Construction, presented the community council with a new leaf blower, strimmer and push lawnmower as a token of appreciation after he was involved in the completion of the roof refurbishment works carried out at Killererin Community Centre in recent times.

“This equipment will be a tremendous asset to our volunteers, making it easier to maintain our grounds and helping us keep our community looking its very best for everyone to enjoy,” said Olivia Rooney, Chair of Killererin Community Council.

The equipment was purchased at Declan Kelly of AB Forestry & Garden Equipment in Abbeyknockmoy, who also donated three drums of fuel to get the equipment up and running.

“These are the acts of kindness that strengthen our community and remind us of what can be achieved when local people support local people,” added Olivia Rooney.
