Local teens set for a creative summer
THREE young artists from Tuam have been selected for the Tiny Mutiny project 2026.
Tiny Mutiny empowers a new generation of teenage artists from across Co. Galway to imagine, develop and realise their own creative projects.
The selected young creatives are mentored by professional artists, a dedicated production budget, and practical guidance throughout the summer, supporting them to bring bold ideas to life across their arts disciplines.
Four artists including Liam O’Connor from Tuam and Alannah Caddye from Glenamaddy have been selected for the Project Award, while three artists including Lainey Tighe and Lia Mar Coen from Tuam have been selected for the First Sparks masterclass.
They will be mentored by Amy Louise O’Callaghan, Paul McDonnell, Emma Zukovic, Tracey Bruen, Serena Molloy and Méabh McDonnell, who are all leading professionals in their respective fields.
Tiny Mutiny 2026 is commissioned by Galway County Arts Office in partnership with Sparkcatchers! With support from Galway County Council, Creative Ireland and Arts Council.
