Third solar farm gets go ahead on outskirts of Tuam
Over 360 acres earmarked for development
A THIRD solar farm project on the outskirts of Tuam has been granted planning permission.
The latest project was given the green light by Galway County Council last week, meaning that a total of 368acres of land has now been earmarked for three separate solar farms on the old Athenry Road (R347) side of Tuam.
Tuam Energy Park Ltd was given approval last week for their second solar farm project in this area. County Council planners granted planning permission for the development on 118 acres in the townlands of Cloonascragh, Shantallow and Togher More.
