Work on new Glynn’s hardware store may begin in 2027
GLYNN’S Home and Hardware may be in a position to start work on a new commercial building on the outskirts of Tuam next year, depending on the global outlook.
The North Galway business was given planning permission by Galway County Council this month to construct a commercial building of 5,422sqm on part of a large site on the Galway Road in Tuam, opposite Lidl and the N17 Plaza. The site, which is zoned for commercial and mixed use, is owned by the applicant, Glynn’s Tuam.
The building will be used as a builders’ merchants and retail hardware store. Offices, a large goods warehouse and a loading area will adjoin the building.
