From the factory floor to a Belclare wool mill
KATARINA Hruskova is looking to increase the capacity of her wool washing and processing mill in Belclare.
Katarina is the owner of Woolstore. At the end of 2024, she decided to give up her full-time job as a team leader on the production floor of a factory, to focus on her business and the farm she runs with her partner Keith Cunningham.
“I process the wool for others and they use it for their products,” said Katarina, who tends to a herd of Galway Sheep and Suffolk crosses, as well as Dexter cattle.
A fundraiser on the iDonate website was recently launched by Katarina to help her raise funds to expand the scouring capacity of the Woolstore business and buy a semi-worsted spinning machine, to allow her to start spinning wool into yarn.
